Summer and Fall 2011 Our summer and fall were BUSY!! Highlights
included a NAJYRC Fundraiser on July 10th at SeaSong Farm to raise money to support USDF Region 3's Jr/YR Dressage Team participation in
the NAJYRC (North American Junior Young Rider Championships), held during the last week of July in Lexington, Kentucky. The
BBQ fundraiser was well attended by many supporters of Ferris and Royal; Ferris and Royal performed their freestyle and Ramsey
entertained the crowd with song. At the Championships, Ferris and Royal placed in the top 15 of competitors in the YR Team
Test, in the top 10 in the YR Individual Test, and again in the top 15 of the YR Freestyle. When Ferris returned to UGA for
her junior year, Royal boarded for the fall at Cedar Ridge Farm in Athens, enabling her to keep him in work although Boni
and Euri enjoyed a break on Johns Island. Ferris and Royal attended a USDF Jr/YR Clinic taught by USDF National Youth Coach
Jeremy Steinberg during the last weekend of October.

We're back!We returned from Wellington near the end of April with several
goals accomplished. Ferris qualified Royal at PSG and both Boni and Euri at Third Level for Region 3 Fall Championships. In
addition, Ferris and Royal began their journey towards Young Rider Championship qualification with a successful showing at
Dressage at Equestrian Estates. Ferris and Royal also performed their new freestyle at White Fences IV show. We again had
a wonderful boarding experience with Tom and Carol Lavell in White Fences, and Shawna Harding gave Ferris many lessons in
their arena before she left Florida in mid-March after competing Come On III in the World Dressage Masters in Wellington. In
Florida Ferris and I continued the very fun beginner polo lessons we originally started at Ravenswood Plantation on Johns
Island last August with the Charleston School of Riding and Polo. Charleston instructor Simon Martineau referred us to another
polo professional, Fernando Asenjo at the Patagones Polo Club in Wellington, and we had great stick and ball practice there
several times a week.

Leaving for Florida! We are excited to be leaving for Florida this weekend! The fall
flew by with all four children in college. Ferris and Royal earned Reserve Championship (2nd place) at 3rd Level in Atlanta
at the Regional Championships in October. She and Boni placed 6th in the same competition, and she and Euri placed 4th at
First Level. Royal and Euri are definitely ready to move on to the next level, while Boni is getting a new saddle for Christmas,
one which will be more appropriate for the upper levels. Euri gets a new double bridle! We are looking forward to boarding
with Tom and Carol Lavell again in White Fences, Loxahatchee. Ferris will begin training with Shawna next week. I am hoping
to continue my polo lessons down there and so happy to be able to watch polo matches in Wellington! We hope you all had a
wonderful Christmas and holiday season, and wish all of our friends a very Happy New Year in 2011!

Show season ramps up!Cooling down from the summer heat finds us preparing for a rapid
series of dressage shows (Aiken, Poplar Place, and possibly Tryon) for Ferris to qualify Royal and Boni for Third
Level and Euri for First Level for Region 3 Championships (October 15-17 in Conyers). Farm manager Angela is busy organizing
supplies, cleaning tack, and ensuring trailer fitness for the weeks ahead. Qualifying this late in the season is not
what one would recommend; however, Boni and Royal have just progressed far enough in their rehabilitation to attempt qualification.
Ramsey spent 2 months this summer recovering from infectious mononucleosis, and with leaving for UNCSA in a week, she sadly
has given Euri to Ferris to requalify at First Level as it will be impossible for her to show him at Regionals. After
missing so much time in the saddle this summer and with being so far away from training this fall, she felt that it was only
fair to Euri to pass him on to Ferris in the quest to win. Ramsey had already qualified for both Training and First Level
with Euri this past winter and spring in Florida, and they were the cutest combo ever! But we know Ferris will do her proud. Our baby stallion Edisto will be shown at 3 upcoming dressage breed shows, all in September, so he will be as busy as we
are. An impressive pair, Bruce and Staci Griffin, will be handling him at Raleigh, Cincinnati, and Devon.

Aiken and VirginiaWe just returned from HOT HOT days of training in Aiken with Shawna.
We are all so excited about her upcoming trips to Lamplight and Gladstone and are wishing and praying for great success for
her, Come On III, and Rigo!! We hear from Bruce and Staci at Griffin Sport Horses (www.GriffinSportHorses.com) in Gretna, Virginia that Edisto is proving smart and behaving
well while he prepares for his yearling KWPN keuring and possibly his first breed show this coming fall. Of course, after
dealing with his mischief at times on our farm this past year, we know that his success in these endeavors will be due to
the fine care and instruction he is receiving from Bruce, Staci and their staff. They really know their stuff!
